Two days of dog sledding and an overnight stay in the wild

Arrival at our kennel in Skabram. Here you can borrow snowmobile suit, warm boots, a hat and gloves before you receive instructions on how to drive a dog sled and handle the dogs.
Together we harness the huskies and then we start out over a frozen lake into the snow-covered forests and drive until it’s time for lunch. We cook lunch over an open fire before continuing and driving to our wood stove heated canvas tent, or to a wilderness cabin where we will spend the night.
If you like you can try snowshoeing during the afternoon/evening. Together we feed and take care of the dogs before we eat dinner ourselves.

The next day we eat breakfast in our hot tent and then we pack up, harness the dogs and hook them up in front of the sleds before starting start off. We stop for lunch and expect to be back in Jokkmokk at approx. 3 p.m.

Tour Reviews

Wonderful trip, an amazing experience! (review fr TripAdvisor)
My family and I had an amazing time on the overnight dogsled tour. Stina and Matti were excellent guides from the start. They helped us schedule the tour within the small window we were planning to be in the Luleå/Jokkmokk area, and they provided us with guidelines to make sure we were prepared for the trek. Matti — our guide for the tour — kept us safe and laughing throughout the two-day trip. The sights were incredible, the experience unforgettable, and the dogs were absolutely lovable. Definitely recommend!!! /Evan M
