People crowding along the village streets. Down jackets in all colors, fur coats and fur hats are brought out from the attics, sometimes it almost feels as if time stands still and that everything is as it always has been. People meet and do business with each other.
Get away from the market stress and join us for a dogsled tour. Experience the feeling of swishing along on a dog sled behind a bunch of powerful huskies and enjoy the talks around the crackling fire.
During the Winter Market week 30 Jan to 5 Feb we offer daily short dog sled tours with fixed departures. We pick you up by car in Jokkmokk and take you to our kennel in Skabram 3 km outside Jokkmokk.
Together with our colleagues Sten and Tor-Henrik we try to run as many tours as possible, but still several of the departures tend to get fully booked.

THREE HOUR DOG SLED TOUR
Our most popular dog sled tour where you get a chance to learn about the huskies and the life in Lapland. You sit on the sled with a musher steering the dog team. We stop to barbeque pork and sausages and boil coffee over open fire.
Departures: 09:00-12:00 and 13:00-16:00 (Pre-booking)
Price: 1200 Sek/person The price includes barbeque, coffee/tea, a seat on the sled. The trip lasts for approx. 3 hours.
NORTHERN LIGHTS TOUR WITH DOG SLED
After the darkness has closed around us we steer the dog team straight into the snow covered forests. Hopefully we will have a beautiful northern lights dancing over the sky. We stop to barbeque pork and sausages and boil coffee over open fire.
Departures: 20:00-23:00 (Pre-booking)
Price: 1200 Sek/person. The price includes barbeque, coffee/tea, a seat on the sled. The trip lasts for approx. 3 hours.
DRIVE YOUR OWN DOG TEAM
Learn how to drive your own dog team! After short instructions in how to drive a dog team we go on a trip for three hours. You get to drive your own dog team with approx. 3 dogs. We will stop for barbeque and coffee break over open fire.
Departures: 09:00-12:00 and 13:00-16:00 (Pre-booking)
Price: 1500 Sek/person Includes barbeque, coffee/tea, an own dog team and a guide. The trip lasts for approx. 3 hours.
ONE HOUR HUSKY TOUR
A short try out tour with dog sled. You sit on the sled with a musher steering the dog team. About 10-15 km.
Departures: 09:00; 11:00; 13:00; 15:00 (Pre-booking)
Price: 750 Sek/person
The price includes a seat on the sled with a professional dog musher. The trip lasts for approx. 1 hour.
