The gate to Sarek Nationalpark nr 1.
This tour started with a three course dinner in SaltoluoktaÂŽs cosy restaurant. Booked on the tour was Nikolas (France), Ralf (Germany), Peter & Lotta (Sweden), Reinout (Netherlands) and Stina and me. We travelled along the Kings Trail south from Saltoluokta and down towards Kvikkjokk. We drove in the outskirts of the extensive world heritage Laponia. The weather gave us everything from drifting snow to sun and calm clear blue sky. During our tour we found “Tyra” a lost hunting dog a short distance from the PĂ„rte cabin. She had spent a week alone in the mountains after that her owners lost her. She became a passenger in my sled. If there was the smallest thing to bark about Tyra did…most often standing on top of the sled. She was an incredible little sweet dog that reunited with her happy owners in Boden after the tour.
